This is a series-in-progress. The ghost trees have been appearing in my drawings for quite some time. I finally decided to let them have their own series. The trees are a kind of amalgamation of will 'o wisps with trees ethereal yet grounded.
The images are made at a 2.35:1 aspect ratio. This is a cinematic standard for widescreen movies that's also known as "anamorphic scope" or "scope." I've given the dimensions of this digital series as an aspect ratio because the pieces are made in Adobe Illustrator, a program which allows me to make the images such that I can scale them to any size (postage stamp to billboard and beyond) without losing sharpness or image quality.
For display, I have been printing the pieces 16.75" high x 36.75" wide.
